Palau – Oct 24 - Nov 4, 2020
Join us in paradise in the fall of 2020! Palau, Micronesia is a world-class dive destination well-known for its breathtaking scenery both above and below the surface of the water. There’s something for every diver, whether you’re into big marine life, tiny critters, wrecks, reefs, or caverns. And yes, we will be snorkeling in the famous Jellyfish Lake! We will be diving with Sam’s Tours, the premier dive operator in Palau. For those of you who are photographers, I am happy to offer tips and techniques to help improve your underwater photography during the trip for no additional charge. If after reading this information sheet you have any questions, or if you would like to make reservations, please contact me at email@example.com.
We will have 6 days of 2-tank dives at several different dive sites around Palau including Blue Holes, Blue Corner, German Channel, and Ulong Channel. On one of those days we will include a third dive at Chandelier Cave. To learn more about diving in Palau, take a look at the diving page on the Sam’s Tours website: www.samstours.com/palau-diving/diving-with-sams-tours.

We will also have the opportunity to join Sam’s Tours partner Unique Dive Expeditions to dive during the snapper spawning on two different occasions to witness this thrilling event. While the thousands of snapper are the stars of the show, large predators such as bull sharks and hammerheads are also likely to pay a visit. On snapper spawning days, we will make two dives during the spawning, and then travel to another dive location for a third dive. Please note that currents can be very strong during snapper spawning dives, and therefore this excursion is only open to experienced divers with over 50 dives who are comfortable deploying their own surface marker buoy should they get separated from the group.
If 2 or 3 dives a day isn’t enough, take advantage of free diving anytime at the Sam’s Tours Macro Wall. The highlights of the macro wall are the colorful mandarin fish that come out at dusk to mate, making for a fun challenge for photographers to try to capture “the act” as the fish quickly dart around.
Please note that Palau Marine Law requires that all divers have a surface marker buoy with them while diving in Palau.
In addition to all of the amazing diving, we will be spending one day kayaking in either Risong or Nikko Bay led by our personal guide. Sam's Tours also has kayaks to rent if you would like to do some kayaking on your own. And of course we will be snorkeling in the recently re-opened Jellyfish Lake!
We will be staying at Palau Central Hotel (www.palaucentral.com) which is centrally located near several shops and restaurants. Palau Central is a lovely boutique hotel providing comfortable and stylish accommodations with a friendly, attentive staff. Guests will enjoy a Standard Room with 2 beds, free in-room wifi, HD television, refrigerator, and air conditioning. Palau Central’s breakfast buffet is included. Each morning, a driver from Sam’s Tours will pick us up at the hotel to take us to the dive shop, and then they will bring us back to the hotel later in the afternoon.
